Throughout the semester I have learned about social media. I realize the urgency and importance of social media in the profession of public relations. Networking is the most beneficial tool you can get from actively participating in social media sites.
Over the past months I have actively participated in three different forms of social media.
The first is The Loveliest Village. This is a Web site where students can interact and stay connected. Each week I was required to submit a story along with a video interview.
The second is Corner News. The Corner News is a local paper and news site in Auburn. I posted stories and video interviews about things happening locally in Auburn. Here you can find a published story.
Lastly is my PRblog. Each week I blogged about different aspects of public relations. Here I was able to express my opinion and often analyze articles according to their function of public relations. This was my first experience blogging.
